  I bought this from Amazon a couple of months ago and it waited patiently in its box until our building work progressed sufficiently that it could be hung on the wall.

  First of all, this is an attractive set, looks great, looks more expensive than it is and is very minimalistic – which suits us perfectly. The picture as others have described is superb.

  We have ours hooked up to a Harmon Kardon AV system will all inputs via that AV amp (TIVO HD, Blu-Ray). Thus we just use 1 HDMI connection to the TV. All controlled with a Harmony remote.

  The killer app for this TV though is that you can hook it up to your home network. Either via Samsungs own Wifi device or via Ethernet. I chose the latter as streaming video via WIFI has been temperamental at best in my experience.

  The TV automatically detects your media – in our case via Windows Media Center (on a Windows 7 machine) and via Playon software installed on another (do a search to find it). This software allows you to access Hulu and other internet content (including Netflix). Sound is output from the TV to the amp via an optical cable (which might cause problems for those with older equipment). Works just great.

  All in all a very pleasing purchase.

  The USB port can power my Seagate USB-powered Freeagent hard drive, which is convenient. And I can confirm it can play a 15G mkv movie file. While I cannot compare the video quality with another Blu-ray or multi-media player, the quality is definity better than the video play back from a PC.

  We purchased this TV after a great deal of research and many visits to local stores to compare HDTVs. The picture from this unit stood out as best-in-store at two of the stores we visited. We spent a lot of time being concerned about going with a 60hz unit due to the fact that all stores sales people were pushing the 120hz. or even 240hz. For our typical use, we finally decided that we would be absolutely waisting money on the quicker refresh cycles. Now that we have the TV and can compare it to our Sony XBR4 we are very pleased that we saved the money. The picture is great and high-speed motion such as in football does not appear much different between our two sets. The TV also has a cinema setting for the issue of a 24 frame per second film, if anyone is worried. The quality of this HDTV is very obvious out of the box, particularly when one sees the thick glass stand that comes with it. The limited amount of assembly required is very simple, but you will need two people to assemble the TV to the base. The setup was very simple and if you don’t know the answer to questions like what type of channels you have coming from your program source, the TV will detect what ever is available and automatically delete any channels that are encoded and thus not actually viewable without a cable box (for example). i would rate the sound from the TV built-in speakers as acceptable for normal TV watching but certainly not great if you want dynamic theater type sound. Obviously you can connect to a receiver or a sound bar if you will want that type of sound. This is a fantastic HDTV!

  Amazon was the best place to purchase this TV from a price standpoint and their delivery was as scheduled and excellent. I was very pleased with the delivery and the clearly unopened box was flawless.

  Amazing picture. Sound not so great as tiny speakers aim down from the bottom ridge of tv. I cant believe how thin the television is and how bright the picture is. It plays most everything I’ve thrown at it in perfect color and very little pixelation. No warm up time like Standard LCD TVs and much easier to watch. I highly recommend this TV. If you’re going to buy an LCD television…make sure it is backlit with LEDs. Samsungs out-perform all the other brands.

  I purchased this TV during a Black Friday sale at Best Buy for $497, so I’ve had it for a few months. So far it has been great! I only have basic cable with no HD channels, so the picture quality isn’t spectacular in that respect. BluRay on the other hand looks awesome, as do DVDs. Excellent color and definition. Streaming Netflix was surprisingly crisp and clear, especially the HD movies and shows. At 40 inches, watching television has become much more enjoyable compared with our previous 20in tube. Sound quality is good- we frequently listen to Pandora via our BluRay player. The swivel is a nice feature as well. Only one HDMI port, but not a problem with adapters/splitters (I only have the BluRay attached anyway…). There weren’t many reviews in November as this was a relatively new product at that time, and I was a bit leery with my purchase initially. But Samsung is considered to be an excellent TV producer and I wasn’t let down.

  We have had this tv for 2 months and it just doesn’t seem like it could possibly be any better. The colors are so true and there is so much depth that it actually seems 3D at times. When you play a Blu Ray the colors pop even more and you really feel like you are part of the picture or scene. I have done a double take at times because it appears so life like! We love this tv and are so happy when we get a chance to relax and watch it (not often enough!). Wall hook up was a breeze and it has enough HDMI inputs to make it even easier. I wouldn’t recommend the Samsung Blu Ray player though if you are running everything thru a receiver. Samsung’s “Any net” gets confused about what you are trying to do. Or at least the Universal remote doesn’t recognize that the tv is in control of the Blu Ray player. (Or maybe it’s me who gets confused on what it is trying to do!) Anyway, I can’t imagine any other tv delivering a better picture than this one. You will enjoy it immensely!

  I had already bought the 26″ version of this set and was so pleased with the picture quality that I went for the 32″. I have satellite TV and the HD image run through these TV’s is stunning in it’s clarity. If you can, do use the cables from your cable box to connect up, instead of just the standard coax. It’s a knock out. Toshiba makes good quality televisions and they kept the price down, with these budget sets. Oh, and if you are like me, and you were agonizing about whether to spend the extra dough, to buy a 1080p TV versus a 720P? The need for the 1080p only comes into play when you get into the 46″ screens and beyond. Don’t throw your money away thinking that you’ve got to do that. The clarity of this 32″ is perfect. My friend just bought a 46″ Sony 1080p for about a thousand bucks. Yup, the picture quality is the same as mine. Speakers: the TV makers pretty much assume that folks are running their sound through their home audio or stereos, as I am, so the cabinet speakers are not deluxe for that reason. It’s a non issue. Also, rear port damage is usually caused by overly strained cables (the morons who make the HD cables seem to think 6′ is long enough, I use a longer and softer cord for the connections to the back of the TV). Lastly, many thanks to the folks who took the time to review this television on the site here, because it helped me a lot, as usual.

  I have literally been following the prices of HDTV’s for about a year now, and there is no better time for an upgrade! Samsung just released their new “C” series, and somehow they are remarkably less expensive than their pre-existing models! The majority of the websites are selling this HDTV for $800+, Amazon’s lower-than-low price is less than the rest of the market. I purchased it here on Amazon, and received my HDTV in 5 days (could have been 4 days, but I had school all day). CEVA did the shipping for my HDTV, which I was wary at first because I have only dealt with UPS and Fedex. However, CEVA provided excellent customer service as they did contact me and I verbally specified a delivery time. Packaging was very efficient, and surprisingly light too!
